Sprint PLXD External Stack Controller for a 4Q AC to DC Drive

Sprint Electric PLX Series 4 Quadrant Regenerative DC Thyristor Drive External Thyristor Stack Controller for universal 110V or 230V Control supply.

Provides trigger pulses for an existing or separate Armature Thyristor stack.

Suitable for 6 pulse 4 / 2 Quadrant or 12 pulse 2 Quadrant stack configurations

Simple to set-up in Digital, fully-isolated 4 Quadrant form and ready to run from its 'Quick Set-Up' settings.

Input Current - up to 27A for a 32A Field, (optional 50A field available on request).
Input Voltage – 12V to 480V three phase +-10% at 50/60Hz.
For AC supply voltages in excess of 480V AC and up to 690V AC it is necessary to interpose a single phase reduction transformer of sufficient rating between EL2/3
(rated up to 690V AC) and EF2/3 (rated up to 480V AC only) to maintain the internal field bridge supply within the 480V AC rating​
Input fuse – 40A - to suit input bridge at 5000A²s
Use a choke in the supply at 50uH @ 39A
