Invertek Optidrive P2 IP66 Indoor/Outdoor 15kW 400V 3ph, DBr, SW, STO, C1 EMC

Introduction

Invertek Optidrive P2 IP66 Series AC Inverter for 15 kW (20 HP) 400 V three-phase motor to 30 A. Operates in V/F, sensorless vector or full closed-loop flux vector control (when the optional Encoder Feedback Card is fitted). Converts a fixed-frequency 400 V three-phase supply to a variable-frequency 400 V three-phase output to control the speed of a compatible AC induction motor, permanent magnet synchronous motor or synchronous reluctance motor.

Combining advanced motor control with a robust IP66 enclosure, the P2 delivers precise speed and torque control while allowing installation close to the motor without a separate control cabinet. Built-in communications, configurable I/O and advanced control functions make the Optidrive P2 a powerful, versatile solution for both new installations and system upgrades.

Hardware Features

• Dynamic Braking transistor (DBr) is fitted to all units

Keypad

Control Terminals, Option Slot and Communications

• 1 x option slot is available. See below for available options.
• ⚠️ The encoder feedback card, if required, uses the only option slot available
• 2 x RJ45 communication ports, providing convenient connection and daisy-chaining without the need for an external RJ45 splitter.

By default, the I/O is configured for 1 x analogue input, 4 x digital inputs and 2 x analogue outputs. This functionality is easily changed using parameter P1-13

Safe Torque Off

• Built-in dual-input Safe Torque Off (STO) function
• Safety Rating: SIL 2 / PL d, Category 3
• When STO is activated, the drive is inhibited and 'InHibit' will be displayed on the Keypad
• If STO is not used, the appropriate STO terminals must be linked to enable normal drive operation

Power Supply

Suitable for three-phase 380 Vac to 480 Vac supplies only.

• Input must be protected with a suitable fuse or MCB
• For non-UL installations a Fuse or MCB (Type B) rated for 50 A should be fitted to protect the P2

EMC Filters

• IEC EN61800-3:2004 Category C1 (Domestic) for motor cables up to 1 m. Category C2 (Light Industrial) for motor cables up to 5 m. Category C3 (Industrial) for motor cables up to 25 m
• Filter earth connection can be removed if required
